 Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress in the television and film industry, acclaimed for her roles in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was the daughter of Joanna Noyes (an actress) and Jan Steen (an actor and director). She is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish origin.



 



 Apart from her career in entertainment, Steen is an environmentalist and animal rights advocate. Steen is a strong supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, as well as other organizations. She is a certified diver and has mastered several circus arts like fire-twirling and stilt-walking.
